Adding HootusPlootus
One more step before you add HootusPlootus.
You stay in control of every permission. We use them for specific guild-ops features, nothing else, ever.
Permissions you grant
- View Channels. Read raid signups, member messages, and channel context.
- Send Messages. Post raid embeds, approval requests, and officer notices.
- Embed Links. Render roster, raid signup, and alt-list embeds.
- Read Message History. Edit existing raid embeds when signups change.
- Mention Everyone. Ping raid roles when a raid posts, even when the role is not mentionable.
- Use External Emojis. Show class and spec icons in embeds.
- Create Invite. Generate the public raid signup and PUG guest invite links.
- Manage Channels. Create and delete raid and LFO voice channels.
- Connect. Open raid voice channels to member roles when the category is locked down.
- Move Members. Move raiders to the fallback channel before closing raid voice channels.
- Manage Roles. Assign Raider, Guest, PUG, and class roles, and set channel permissions.
- Manage Nicknames. Rename members to their character name on verify.
- Kick Members. Auto-kick expired PUG guests during cleanup.
- Create Public Threads. Open raid and LFO discussion threads.
- Create Private Threads. Open private raid and LFO threads when a channel uses private thread visibility.
- Send Messages in Threads. Post signup updates and PUG invites inside raid threads.
- Manage Threads. Archive and lock threads when a raid is closed or cancelled.
- Manage Messages. Pin the live lineup embed in raid threads so it stays at the top.
Drag the HootusPlootus role above your Officer and Raid lead roles. Discord only lets the bot assign roles to, and move, members whose top role sits below its own. Below the officers and it cannot manage them.
What happens next
