Raid logs vouch for people, they do not accuse them
A log can prove somebody was in a boss fight. It can never prove somebody was not, because a log that stopped early looks exactly like a night off. So Hootus now offers one button, to credit the people the log caught fighting who were never marked present, and he has stopped offering to mark anyone absent on the strength of a silence. The disagreement is still listed either way, he just will not pretend to settle the half he cannot see.
You decide how much of a raid has to be yours
The rule for crediting the guild with a boss kill used to be baked in. It now sits in Settings, Raid automation: how many of your people have to be in the log, and what share of the raid they have to make up. Both have to be true, the defaults are five and half, and anything below the line still gets kept and shown, just not counted. Loosen it if your ten-mans run heavy on unguilded alts, tighten it if you only want full guild nights on the board.
2 Fixed
Progression stopped claiming Magtheridon was your latest achievement
The page led with whichever boss had most recently been killed for the first time, which put Magtheridon at the top and made a guild deep into Tempest Keep look like it was going backwards. Nobody measures progress by the calendar. Raids now sit in the order you actually clear them, Karazhan through to Sunwell, and the headline is the furthest you have pushed rather than the most recent thing you happened to tick off. Zul'Aman moved to where it belongs in that order too, so it can never outrank Black Temple.
Signing up on your alt stopped being impossible
Once you were signed up, Hootus quietly kept you on that character for every role you clicked afterwards, on the grounds that it already worked. If your guild also asks for a note on signup, the note box was the only thing you ever saw, so there was no way to get back to your other character short of withdrawing. Add a shaman, click Healer, and you would be signed up as the shaman without ever being asked. He now asks whenever more than one of your characters could take the role, with the one you are currently on offered first, and he tells you which character that is.
