Show Me the Ropes

Hootus learned to explain himself. A new /help command and a shelf of step-by-step guides, from running raids and wrangling the planner to LFG, soft reserves and setting up a fresh server, so nobody has to DM you at 8pm asking how /raid start works.

2 New3 Improved

2 New

  1. Four more guides

Added walkthroughs for finding a group with LFG, managing your characters and gear, soft reserves, and setting up Hootus on a new server. Eight guides now, all a click away in Help.

  2. Ask Hootus for help

New `/help` command pulls up the whole rundown, and the help page grew proper step-by-step guides: running a raid start to finish, moving people in the planner, getting verified, and the officer toolkit. The command list also stopped fibbing about which commands exist.

3 Improved

  1. Guides that actually match the bot

Went back over every guide and checked it against what Hootus really does, fixing the fiddly bits (you mark yourself Absent not Bench, overflow needs a confirm, loot posts once the raid is finished). Guides now link to each other and to the exact Settings page when there is something to configure, and the help pages are wider on desktop.

  2. A front door for the guides

Added a Getting Started page that walks you through every guide in order, with a Next link at the foot of each one so you can read straight through. Also tidied how guides render: code shows as a proper chip, links are clickable, and it all follows your light or dark theme.

  3. Recruitment board tells the whole story

The recruitment board now says whether you're open to everyone with your priority classes listed, or only taking the classes shown, matching your recruitment setting instead of always reading like a hard list.
