Hootus notices when he has been shown the door

If he got removed from a server while offline, he never realised, and kept syncing that guild on a timer forever. He now checks on startup, with guards so a Discord hiccup can never make him think he was thrown out of everywhere at once. Cleaning up the leftovers is report-only for now, so you can read what it would do before it does anything.

Korea and Taiwan on the clock

The time settings only offered EU, US and Oceanic. Korean and Taiwanese realms are in the list now, Thursday reset and all.

A bad date says what it wanted

Mistype a raid date on the web and you got 'Invalid date', which helps nobody. It now tells you the format, the same way Hootus does in Discord.

MoP characters show up again

A handful of Hootus's older lookups asked Blizzard about every character as though it were TBC, so for a Mists guild they quietly came back empty: no portraits, no specs, no item names on loot. They now ask about the right version of the game, which is the one your guild is actually playing.

Applicants stop slipping through the net

Two of the four ways to pick up the Applicant role recorded nothing, so the clean-up job could not see those people and they kept their access forever. Every route now leaves a note, and the sweep no longer downs tools just because Discord sign-ups are switched off.

Raid invites actually expire now

Finishing a raid deleted Hootus's note of the invite but left the link itself working. Months-old raid links pasted in other servers still opened the door. The link is properly revoked when the raid ends.

No more Unverified boomerang

Officers whose ranks were never mapped could get tagged Unverified once an hour, take it off, and watch it come straight back. Hootus now checks whether he already knows you before reaching for that label.

No more silent welcome

If Hootus could not actually pin your roles on, he still cheerfully said welcome aboard, and you were left in a server with nothing to look at and no idea why. Now he says so plainly, tells an officer, and holds off the public welcome until it is sorted. Usually it means his own role is sitting too low in the list to hand out the ones above it.

Setup stops eating your channels

Opening setup a second time to change one thing wiped every channel it had not asked you about, took your raid channel names with it, and quietly turned private raid threads public. It now only touches what it actually put in front of you.

The welcome channel welcomes people

Skip the verification gate during setup and #welcome came out visible to officers and hidden from every new arrival, which rather defeats it. With no gate role it is now open for anyone to read.

Rename a category and it stays renamed

Categories were found by name, so renaming Officers to Leadership meant the next run built a second Officers next to it. Hootus now remembers which one was his.

Switching servers keeps your permissions

Hopping to another server on the web could hand you an empty set of roles for a week if Hootus had never recorded them there. He now goes and looks them up.

The repeating groups option has flown off

Ticking 'recurring' promised a group that came back every week. What it actually did was empty the roster every 24 hours, forget when the group started, and never hand out a voice channel again. Nobody had one turned on, so it is gone rather than half-fixed. Want a group next week? Post one, it takes ten seconds.

Banning someone now tidies up after them

Bans skipped the clean-up entirely, so a banned member kept their PUG record, their spot in the pool and every raid they had signed up for. All of it gets cleared now, and officers get the usual note listing the characters still to remove.

Group sign-ups respect who can see groups

Applying to a group and withdrawing from one skipped the access check every other part of the group pages was doing. Anyone without access to groups can no longer sneak an application in the side door.

Dashboard links open the guild you asked for

Links that pointed at a specific server, including the one Hootus DMs you after setup, dropped the server and dumped you on the picker. They open the right one now, assuming it is yours to open.
