Hootus learned a third version of the game. Classic Era joins TBC and MoP in the setup picker, with the right nine classes, the right eight races, and the raids that actually existed in vanilla. Pickers everywhere stopped offering Death Knights to people who cannot have one.

Classic Era, all the way back to sixty
Vanilla is a flavour now. Pick it during setup and Hootus works from the Classic Era armory, with Molten Core through Naxxramas, the original nine classes and the eight races that existed before the Dark Portal reopened. No Death Knights, no Blood Elves, no pretending otherwise.

Pages load a good deal quicker
The settings pages were sending you a whole text editor before you had asked to edit anything, and every public page carried an animation library to do a fade that CSS does for free. Both are gone. The heaviest settings page dropped by more than half, and Hootus stopped asking the database the same question seven times over on the guild page.
Pages got a good deal lighter
Every page was quietly shipping the entire changelog to your browser, all four hundred and sixty odd entries of it, just to print a version number in the corner. It stays on the server now. Hootus also stopped asking the database the same question five times per page load.
2 Fixed
This page stopped repeating itself
Two updates had ended up sharing a name, which quietly made thirty one entries show up twice on this very page. They appear once each now. While Hootus was in here he gave the whole thing a tidy: older updates fold away, there is a jump list, and you can filter to just the new things or just the fixes.
Pickers only offer what your version has
Every class dropdown quietly offered Death Knight and Monk no matter which version you play, and the race list offered Draenei and Blood Elves to guilds where nobody can roll one. Both now follow your guild flavour.
