PUG cleanups show up in the guild activity feed

The hourly sweep takes a role, clears channel access and deletes a record, and until now it left no trace anywhere except a log line on the server. Every sweep is now written down and shown in the feed, with enough kept to put someone back.

Hootus asks once, when you remove him

If you take him out of your server he sends the person who installed him one message asking what went wrong, with three buttons and no argument. Answer or ignore it, he will not ask twice.

The permission notice has the button it was promising

It ended by telling officers about a button that fixes each one, on a message with no buttons on it. There is now a Re-check on it: sort the role order in Server Settings, press it, and the notice updates itself.

Officers can turn Raider on and off from the member menu

There was no way to do it from the dashboard after someone was verified, and the control that looked like it did quietly wrote something nobody read. The menu now changes the Discord role and tells you when Discord refuses.

The waiting-on-a-guild-invite post leads with a name and carries buttons

It used to open with a raw mention and explain how the roster sync works. It now says who, says the armory might just be twenty minutes behind, and gives you two buttons: they are already in, or the invite is out. It also goes to your recruitment channel by default instead of the officer channel.

/pending shows the people whose check did not settle

Applications were listed and members who failed an automatic check were not, so the one command whose job is listing what needs you was hiding half of it. They now appear in their own section with the reason next to each name.

That character is already claimed no longer leaves you nowhere

Five different places refused you with the same sentence and nothing to press. If the person holding it never proved it, you get a Connect Battle.net button. If Blizzard backed their claim, you are told so and pointed at an officer. Returning members also stopped being blocked by their own character.

/raider stopped saying yes when Discord said no

If Hootus sits below your Raider role he is not allowed to hand it out. He was saying Raider role added anyway, writing it down, and leaving you with no role and no pings. He now tells you what Discord refused, puts the details in your officer channel, and does not write anything down.

A stuck applicant role no longer costs someone their welcome

Approving a member does two things: it gives them their roles, and it takes the applicant role back off them. If the second half failed, Hootus treated it as the first half failing. The officer was told the member could not see the channels, and the welcome and the DM were both quietly skipped, for someone who was fully set up. The two are separate now.

TBC characters come back with their spec again

Hootus was reading the spec off a field that TBC profiles do not have, so every character he looked up was filed without one. He now asks the talents endpoint when the profile has nothing, and asks it at the same time rather than after, so the lookup is no slower than before.

People who were already here stopped counting as arrivals from nowhere

When Hootus arrives on a server that already has members, he writes everyone down. The applications page then counted all of them as people who turned up through a door nobody could identify. They are now named as already here and kept out of the funnel, so the arrivals you see are arrivals.

The PUG hold DM says what actually happened

It used to say nothing lost while taking the role back, closing the raid channels and clearing the record. It now says what went, says plainly that your sign-ups were not touched, and where the way back is one button it gives you the button.

Denying link previews in your raid-logs channel is no longer a fault

Hootus required Embed Links everywhere he can post, including the logs channel where he only ever replies in plain text. Turning link previews off there is a reasonable thing to do and it was making him report a broken channel. The web bot-health page now agrees with him, in both directions.

Who counts as a dashboard admin is settled the same way every time

Whether Manage Server alone let you in depended on whether Hootus had synced your roles yet, and a hiccup talking to Discord could hand it to everyone. He now checks your real roles, and answers the same way in Discord and on the web.
