Who Came In, And Through Which Door
Hootus hands out a different link for members, guests, PUGs and raid sign-ups, and the one you walk in through decides what happens next. He had never once been asked how well that was working. It turns out he was quietly dropping anyone who arrived on a vanity link, and if Discord refused him the invite list he would remember an empty one and guess at the next arrival. Both fixed, and /hootus check will now tell you who came in and which door they used. He also stopped forgetting the role you signed up as the moment somebody benched you.

Ask /hootus check who has been arriving
Run it with nobody named and he now adds up the last thirty days: how many people arrived, which link each of them came through, and for anyone he could not place, why not. A link somebody made outside him gets flagged so you can tell him what it is for, rather than everyone on it quietly getting the default welcome.
Invites you made yourself can be given a job
Hootus only knew about the links he created. Any invite an officer made by hand was invisible to him, so arrivals through it fell to the default path with nothing said. He now checks the whole list, shows you the ones he does not recognise, and lets you tell him what each is for.

People who joined on your vanity link stopped vanishing
If your server has a custom discord.gg address, Hootus counted the joins and then threw the answer away, so anyone arriving that way was filed as came in somehow, I could not say how. They now get attributed like everybody else.
Hootus stopped guessing which link somebody used
When Discord refused him the invite list, he remembered an empty one instead of nothing at all. The next person through the door then looked like they had used whichever link had the most uses, and he said so with complete confidence. He now knows the difference between not knowing and knowing nothing, and says which.
The bench stopped forgetting the role you signed up as
Benching somebody wrote over the role they picked, and nothing anywhere remembered what it had been, so reopening a raid could not give it back and they had to sign up all over again. He writes it down now, and reopening hands it straight back. Anyone benched before this still has to re-pick, once.
The website stopped blaming you for a Blizzard outage
The bot learned the difference between a character that is not there, an armory nobody can reach, and a bot with no Blizzard keys. The website was still telling everyone their character probably had not logged in recently. It says which one it is now, and the gear guide stopped claiming there is only one explanation.
