Honest pages about the other bots in your server

GoodBot, Carl-bot and MEE6 now have comparison pages next to the Raid-Helper one, and they are written the same way: what those bots are genuinely better at, when you should keep them, and the fact that most guilds will run one of them alongside Hootus rather than instead of him. He does not read your messages for spam and is not going to pretend otherwise.

A page about claiming your character once

Link Battle.net and Hootus reads your characters off the account, so you stop spelling your own alts wrong. The claim is yours, not a guild's, so the next guild running Hootus already knows that character is really you. Your proof travels with you. Your guild list does not, and no officer anywhere can see it.

A page about locking the front door

Unknown accounts land in a holding area instead of your real channels, PUG roles take themselves back after seven idle days, and access is decided by your own Discord roles rather than handing anyone Administrator. He asks for no Administrator permission at all. One bot doing the jobs four used to.

The reports and DMs read like something, not a list

The dormancy report leads with the numbers and turns red when somebody has been gone a long time. Anniversaries split into years and months. Verification chases, gbank requests, welcomes and the post-raid ask all use proper columns now. Long lists trim themselves with a plus-N rather than falling over the 1024-character wall Discord puts on a field.

Four things he has always done, finally written down

Reading a Warcraft Logs link out of your log channel and telling you which names the log and the voice check disagree about. Exporting a lineup to Method Raid Tools. Taking loot back in from a Gargul export. Claiming a character once through Battle.net so the next guild running Hootus already knows it is yours. All shipped for a while, all invisible on the site until now.

The website got the same care as the guild pages

Every public page was the same shape twelve times over: a centred heading and a grid of grey boxes, set in text you could not read on a phone. They now use real Blizzard zone art, class colours and spec icons, numbers big enough to mean something, and body copy at a size meant for humans. The guild pages already looked like this. The front door does now too.

The notifications that greeted you as <@13443243>

Some of what Hootus stores is not a Discord account at all. A character signed up from a web link, a reserved pug slot, an officer who was never recorded. He was pasting those straight into a message as if they were people, and Discord rendered the raw number. He now checks first and writes the character or the name instead, and a ping list quietly drops anything that would not have pinged anyway.

The Kick Members permission said something untrue

It claimed Hootus auto-kicks expired PUG guests during cleanup. He does not, and never has. Cleanup only takes the role back. The only time he removes anyone is when an officer asks or when somebody removes themselves at the welcome step, and the permission now says exactly that.

The LFG page offered content your flavour does not have

It listed scenarios alongside dungeons for everyone. Scenarios, challenge modes and world bosses are MoP only, and a Classic Era guild reading that page was promised a group type it cannot post. The list now matches what your flavour actually supports.
